in-cosmetics 2015 - 25th anniversary in Barcelona and FrankenChemie was there!

This year, the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the leading trade fair for cosmetic products were particularly festive. The exhibition took place from 14 to 16 April at Fira Gran, Barcelona. With an attractive and rich programme, the fair attracted many exhibitors and was visited by a record-breaking 8578 visitors.

This year, we at FrankenChemie were once again represented at a booth with our partner Evonik Industries AG and were on site for our customers. In the course of numerous and interesting conversations, we were able to present some innovative developments to our customers and other interested parties. Firstly, we have been able to enrich our comprehensive portfolio of personal care products with two new raw materials: The biodegradable conditioning agent Varisoft® EQ 100, which is a liquid esterquat with exceptional qualities and is widely used in hair care products such as shampoos or conditioners, as well as the cost-effective surfactant TEGO® Betaine P 50 C, a concentrated Cocamidopropyl Betaine based on RSPO-certified palm kernel oil with excellent thickening properties.

Two further highlights rounded off our programme: Through the use of natural emulsifiers, the new Leave-on concept expands the possibilities for formulation and processing, and thus enables the development of inexpensive and effective products. In addition, with the new Emulsifier Selection Tool, a suitable emulsifier can be found quickly and easily for special requirements.

In summary, we can say that we can once again look back on a successful trade fair and we were able to take the opportunity to present ourselves together with our partner Evonik and strengthen the team spirit.
